It was only six months ago when Kirstie Alley shot down rumors she would be appearing on 'Dancing with the Stars,' telling everyone she didn't think she had the nerves for it. So what made the 'Cheers' star change her mind?

"She wasn't ready last season. Mentally and physically she just couldn't get her head around doing the show," a friend of the actress tells me. "Kirstie just turned 60, so I think she decided to take on her fear before it was too late."

Kirstie has integrated dance into her fitness routine for some time and even told Oprah.com that in between sets with exercise equipment, "I dance really hard. And then I dance at the end for about 20 minutes. I do this anywhere from four to six times a week. And then I pretend like I'm Muhammad Ali at a disco."

Well, now Kirstie won't have to pretend to be a dancing queen any longer.

Just a day after winning her first Oscar, Natalie Portman released a statement regarding Dior creative director John Galliano's arrest for alleged verbal assault, according to The New York Times.

Galliano allegedly spewed anti-Semitic remarks at a couple last week while out drinking in Paris. No charges were filed, but it has Hollywood and the fashion industry reeling.

"I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano's comments that surfaced today," Portman said in a statement. "In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way."

Another day, another dose of Charlie Sheen. The 'Today Show' aired the second half of Sheen's interview with NBC's Jeff Rossen this morning, and this time we got a look inside his new life with his two live-in girlfriends, a porn star he calls "Rach" and a model he calls "Natty."

Sheen -- who refers to the girls as his "goddesses" -- is in what he calls "domestic bliss," living at home and playing baseball with friends. He and his girlfriends are also helping to take care of his young twins.

Tom Hanks stopped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' and gave viewers a "sneak peak" of his appearance on TLC's 'Toddlers & Tiaras.' We don't think we could love this more if we tried.

Hanks appears with his "daughter" Sophie (played by actress Nikki Hahn) in the video spoof of the show, according to E! Online. The pair are shown preparing to compete in an upcoming beauty pageant called the 'Ultimate Sexy Baby Nevada.'

In the clip, Hank shows off pictures from Sophie's baby pageants and over 40 trophies for their her hard work.

"In fact, we named her Sophie because it rhymes with ... trophy!" he says.

Last week, John Stamos shot down rumors that he was in talks to replace Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men.' But those rumors have rekindled, and there might be some more truth to them this time.

According to E! Online, CBS chief Les Moonves chatted with Stamos on Saturday about possibly joining the network's hit sitcom.

"They were at the bar talking, and Les asked John if he'd be interested in replacing Charlie," a source told E! "It wouldn't be to play Charlie's character, but they talked more about introducing a new character."

On Friday, though, Stamos tweeted, "Contrary to the rumors, I am not replacing Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men.' However, Martin Sheen has asked me to be his son."

It may finally be safe to say that Justin Bieber is off the market.

Bieber was caught giving Selena Gomez a sweet little kiss in front of paparazzi outside Vanity Fair's Oscar Party on Sunday night. Watch a video of the kiss after the jump.

Since Jay Leno isn't a big movie star he doesn't get those fancy gift bags the Oscars gives out. So Ross Matthews was dispatched to the Academy Awards with a bag to see what celebrities would be willing to donate to Jay. He came on 'The Tonight Show' to reveal what he'd received.

He got a nice pair of shades from Jamie Foxx -- "I'm so not giving those to Jay!" -- as well as various other trinkets from celebrities like Zachary Levi and Hayden Panettiere. He got a very unique item from Heidi Klum.

When Klum couldn't find anything in her clutch that she could donate, she made an offer Matthews couldn't refuse.

"Well you can have my underwear," she said, reaching for them through the high slit in her dress. "You want my underwear?" Watch the video after the jump.
