Today's Poll Question

POLL: Did life arrive on Earth from outer space via a meteor?

A NASA scientist has published a report on fossilized bacteria particles found on a meteor, claiming that they did not originate on Earth. If it is confirmed, this could suggest life elsewhere in the universe and the possibility that life originally arrived on Earth on board a meteor. What do you think?

  • It makes sense. The universe is simply too big for Earth to be the only place where life exists. No reason life forms couldn't have come here from somewhere else.
  • I don't buy it. A couple of specks on an old rock? That's not enough to make such broad suggestions about the origins of life.
  • No way. God created the universe, including all the animals and plants and the human beings. That's how life originated on Earth. Period.
  • I'm skeptical. The story is certainly intriguing, and it all sounds plausible. But I want to see more research and study before I accept it completely.
  • It's all over my head, but NASA scientists know their stuff so I tend to believe them when they say there's good evidence.
  • It's all over my head, but NASA scientists are generally full of mumbo-jumbo to justify their jobs, so I tend to discount most of what they say.
