Governor Parnell Amends Proposed Budget

Scholarship Bill Passes Education Committee

February 16, 2011, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell today thanked the Senate Education Committee for moving Senate Bill 43 out of committee. The bill would create an investment fund and tax credits for the Alaska Performance Scholarship. The scholarships, established last year by Governor Parnell, incentivize Alaska students to take a rigorous curriculum and earn scholarships for post-secondary education in Alaska. Full Story »
