Today's Poll Question

POLL: Life sentence for teenager?

A circuit court judge in Virginia Beach could hand down a life sentence on Wednesday morning for a teen who was convicted of plotting a massive attack at his high school. Click here to read today's story.

Do you think that a life sentence is appropriate punishment for this 17-year-old?

  • Yes, absolutely. He plotted to kill and recruited others to do the same.
  • Maybe. His intended actions could have killed and maimed scores of innocent people - but no one was actually injured.
  • No. He was a troubled teen and no one was injured. He should be forced to face up to his intended actions - but life in prison for a teen is greater punishment than the crime
  • I'm not sure. In fact, I'm inclined to think that the insanity defense should have been accepted by the judge.
