In President Obama's State of the Union address and in his Fiscal Year 2012 budget released this week, he outlined a plan for America to "out-educate the competition" in order to "win the future."  Today, he spoke at an Oregon manufacturing facility plant about jobs and spurring technology.

The President met with several San Francisco technology business leaders Thursday night, including Apple CEO Steve Jobs, Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.  The topic of discussion centered on creating American technology jobs and  positioning the nation as leader in the tech industry.

Many of the themes the President discussed last night will likely be presented today when he addresses an advanced semiconductor manufacturing plant in Hillsboro, Oregon. The President toured an Intel semiconductor manufacturing facility and learned about educational programs within the organization followed by his speech on education within the industry.
