'Housewife' Taylor Armstrong Excited for 'Gorgeous' Natalie Portman At Oscars

By Maggie Coughlan  Posted Feb 25th 2011 04:15PM
If you've ever caught an episode of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,' you know the cast sure knows how to party.

From extravagant birthdays to transforming a backyard into a dance floor, the ladies of Beverly Hills make everything they do an event. So why would watching the Oscars be any different? 'Housewife' Taylor Armstrong has spent the past few days amping up her Facebook fans for the Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 27.

"I think awards season is just so fun in LA. There's lots of parties, everyone's energy is up. I thought it would be fun to share with people who live in other places ... [to] let them enjoy awards season," said Armstrong.

PopEater spoke with Taylor Armstrong about who she'll be rooting for on Oscar Night after the jump!

Actors and Politics: Can There Ever Be Another Ronald Reagan?

By Emily Hall  Posted Feb 25th 2011 04:00PM
When actor George Clooney told Newsweek he doesn't believe he could run for political office because he's "f**ked too many chicks and did too many drugs," he might as well have been speaking for a whole generation of his A-list friends.

But why can't a truly qualified person just admit their past misbehavior and move on without irrelevant muckraking from opponents? Clooney is smart and politically active; the actor opposed the war in Iraq, does humanitarian work for the Darfur conflict, raised millions last year for Haitian earthquake relief and continuously creates documentaries to raise awareness of serious issues around the world. He'd actually be an admirable political candidate. But given how dirty today's politicians play, can there ever be another Ronald Reagan?

'Glee' Gets Original With Two New Songs

By Kiki Von Glinow  Posted Feb 25th 2011 03:30PM
As much as they love to cover their favorite Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Cee Lo Green tunes, 'Glee' is taking a leap of faith into the world of original songs.

According to Entertainment Weekly, two original pieces will be featured in the March 15 episode titled, 'Original Song.' Glee club ringleader Rachel Berry (played by Lea Michele) has been gunning for the group to write an original song to take to regionals; we have a feeling that one of these two may be it.

The entire cast lent their vocals to 'Loser Like Me,' a poppier than pop, bubble gum tune to which we can totally see a slow motion montage of Rachel Berry trying to seduce Finn Hudson.

But Michele gets to show off her power vocals in the ballad, 'Get It Right,' in which she laments, "What can you do when your good isn't good enough ... How many times will it take for me to get it right?" Both songs made their debut on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

Ben Lyons Oscars VideoAfter nearly a decade as a film critic and entertainment journalist, it's safe to say Ben Lyons knows a thing or two about movies.

So PopEater was pretty psyched to talk to the E! star about who he thinks is (and isn't) going home with an Oscar this Sunday as well as his work with ReserveYourNight.com, a new site from yellow tail Reserve that offers wine and movie pairings tailored to their cinematic counterparts. Need help with the wine list for your Oscar party? Lyons has you covered!

Forget the Oscars: Here Are the Best Bit Performances of 2010

By Matthew Shepatin  Posted Feb 25th 2011 02:58PM
best bit performances 2010The Oscars pretty much have the best performances of the year on lock. And while Best Supporting Actor/Actress nominations can come from brief performances -- see Alan Arkin's winning turn in 2006's 'Little Miss Sunshine' -- we at PopEater think there are some true heroes being glossed over.

Those screen sensations are the bit actors. Their parts range from a few minutes to mere seconds, but the performances often warrant a reward in their own right. (Yes, we're talking about you, creepy old 'Shutter Island' woman.)

Without further ado, we present the Bitties, honoring the best bit parts of Oscars season.

Countess: Bethenny Is Not Missed on 'Housewives'

By Rob Shuter  Posted Feb 25th 2011 02:45PM
Countess: Bethenny Is Not Missed on 'Housewives''Real Housewives of New York City' star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps doesn't miss having Bethenny Frankel around the Bravo hit anymore, and she reveals to me the real reason behind the delay in the new season.

"To tell you the truth, no!" she told me on my HDNet show when asked if she misses Bethenny. "She's doing her own thing now, so I wish her luck. Very happy for her. And you know, we have a new housewife now, so on to new and different things."

Is Taylor Swift Dating 'Glee' Star Chord Overstreet?

By Katelyn Mullen  Posted Feb 25th 2011 02:42PM
Could Taylor Swift and 'Glee' heartthrob Chord Overstreet be the newest young Hollywood couple to be making sweet music? The pair was spotted last night watching the Minnesota Wild face the Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center in LA.

It looks as though Taylor's fling with Jake Gyllenhaal is nothing but a memory (or according to us, a hit song). Maybe Taylor and Chord will write a song together? If not, let's hope she will write one about him.

Check out this potentially adorable pair getting cozy after the jump!
