The recruitment process

All the requirements for a specific post will be outlined in the job description. Please read this thoroughly to make sure the job is suitable for you. Your application will be assessed on how closely your knowledge, skills and experience match the essential job requirements.

Applicants must be British or Commonwealth citizens with the right to work in the UK, or nationals of states of the European Union. See the civil service nationality requirements for more information.

Please note that all potential employees will be subject to a background security check before they can start work.

Equal opportunities

We ask you to help us in becoming a more inclusive organisation by completing the equality and diversity monitoring form.

The information you provide on this form is strictly confidential and will  be kept separately from your main application. It will not be taken into account when deciding your suitability for the post you have applied for.

The monitoring process allows us to make sure that we are not discriminating unfairly and to measure how well our equality and diversity policy is working.  It shows us where we can make improvements to ensure our workplace is reflective of the wider community.
