Weather Day
On Saturday, May 21, WGN-TV held "Tom's Weather Day" with Midland Radio Corporation at a Walgreens in Arlington Heights, IL. Over 400 people attended to meet Tom. Viewers were also invited to check out a severe weather simulator truck from the Arlington Heights Fire Department and to play the Grand Prize Game! Also on hand, weather information from WeatherBug, the Cook County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management and a special visit from WGN Radio morning host Greg Jarrett. The folks at Midland were on hand to assist viewers in programming their NOAA weather radios, from which a portion of proceeds were donated to the American Red Cross.
