The City of Edmonton will hold a press conference at 3 p.m. today to announce that it has signed a deal with Montreal-based Octane Racing Group to continue Indy-car racing in Edmonton.
Edmonton boosters have been fighting in recent weeks to find a way to keep this city's Indy car race without bleeding public funds.
The City of Edmonton saved the Indy car race Friday with a $3-million deal to relocate the City Centre Airport track supporters hope will lead to other automotive events at the site.
