Clinical Rotations

The West Virginia University Histotechnology Program is fortunate to be affiliated with some of the finest health care facilities in the state of West Virginia.  Not only do they serve as a base for clinical instruction, they are the site of care for countless numbers of West Virginians.

As one School, we provide learning opportunities throughout the state. Our primary teaching hospitals include West Virginia University Hospitals, including Ruby Memorial Hospital, West Virginia University Children's Hospital, and the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center in Morgantown, Mon General in Morgantown, United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, Charleston Area Medical Center in WV, Excela Health and Allegheny General Hospital in PA.

In addition the faculty provide clinical support to the WVU Hospitals laboratories. While not providing direct patient care, the faculty provide support in research, quality assurance, education and training.

West Virginia University Hospitals is the only hospital in the state to receive Magnet Status by the American Nursing Association, and is one of less than a dozen academic medical centers to do so. In addition, it has been recognized as a top 100 hospital.
