is the Air Force's premier musical organization. It has endeared itself to millions of listeners for more than 60 years through its exhilarating music, engaging concerts and masterful recordings. Since its formation in 1941, The United States Air Force Band has brought superb music and exciting entertainment to music lovers around the globe, earning its reputation as "America's International Musical Ambassadors."

The United States Air Force Band's official military life began on September 24, 1941, with the formation of the Bolling Army Air Forces Band under the sponsorship of Lieutenant L.P. Holcomb, commanding officer of the Air Base Group at Bolling Field. Since that time, the Band has inspired the hearts and minds of countless listeners across the globe under the leadership of 12 diverse and talented conductors.

MISSION
Presentations by The U.S. Air Force Band inspire our citizens to heightened patriotism and service; strengthen relations with Allies, coalition partners and international friends; and pay tribute to those who have given their "last, full measure of devotion." Utilizing the powerful medium of music, The U.S. Air Force Band helps forge new bonds between the United States and the worldwide community, transcending language and connecting people. The excellence demonstrated by these professionals on stage is a reflection of the excellence carried out 24 hours a day by Airmen stationed around the globe. We are proud to represent these warrior Airmen, whose selfless service and sacrifices ensure the freedoms we enjoy as Americans!
