The Pharcyde is an alternative hip hop group from the West coast of the United States. The group was formed in South Central Los Angeles (now South Los Angeles), where the group's members grew up. The original four members of the group are Imani (Emandu Wilcox), Slimkid3 (Tre Hardson), Bootie Brown (Romye Robinson) and Fatlip (Derrick Stewart). DJ Mark Luv was the group's first DJ, followed by innovative Los Angeles producer J-Swift and then the late J Dilla (formerly known as Jay Dee)...

Pharcyde's got company...Planet F.L.O. hits HARD!

New music makes me feel inspired. ReverbNation has chalked up a winner with the shout out to Planet Asia (AKA Gold Medallions). He trades lines with newcomer F.L.O. over Westcoast beats. "Take Money". You decide.

The first album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde, first track is damaged. Any chance of a re-rip and up?

I loved "passing me by", "running", and "soulflower", I would of expected more from these guys, but their albums are disappointing, the song "little d" is a really big turn off to their album, plus there's so many other weak songs with sexual references (yawn!). You can't deny their presence, But it saddens me to say this (even when today music lacks substance and creativity) Pharcyde like many artists from the 90's (tupac/biggie/big-l), they are way over hyped!

They're a bit whack tbh. Disappointed. I was hoping for an eargasm, but all I got was some punks who can't rhyme, flow or talk about interesting topical issues. They can produce a tight beat or two though. I don't think they deserve the praise they get. I hear people calling them legends of real rap music! What are they thinking?! Nah, not feeling this at all...

Thanks for the upload though :) I'm not inconsiderate.

you guys moght wanna check soulseek for its like lime wire but got many underground artists... then again the amount of good music thats offered here is tremendous

I already have all of ATCQ albums and De La Soul..

Thank you Etalon!!!

Anyone notice the quality of plain rap? Is it supposed to abruptly skip in certain parts of a track?

I got mad love for the Pharcyde...music was dope, the emcees were unique & had crazy style! With all the commercial hip hop today starting to sound the same...it is delicious to see classics like this-Do anyone listen to Fat-Lip? He used to be in Pharcyde, he's making solo records now.

Anonymous from dec 13, 2008 here: Disregard my snobbish attitude towards these guys, it is what it is, they were just having fun. Also you can tell they have matured in their newer (2000+) albums. Too bad it took 2 years to realize this.

p.s. Thanks Etalon, without you I'd probably never get a chance to hear so much dope music.
