Information on waste collections over Christmas and the New Year. Please note that:
- The garden and food waste collection service will continue as scheduled over the Christmas period, but this is subject to the weather.
- All waste and recycling vehicles will be fully utilised to clear Christmas waste.

School closures

In situations of severe weather the Medway school closures list is updated as soon as the school notifies us of the closure. This typically happens from 7am onwards each day. Medway's schools are closed for the Christmas holiday until Tuesday, 4 January.

If severe weather is preventing you getting to work, make sure you know your rights as an employee and know what is reasonably expected of you.
