R&D Scientist I


We are seeking a highly motivated bench scientist to join the R&D team to develop, test, and validate novel reagents. The candidate will be responsible for all technical aspects of product development from inception to release, and will work closely with various departments to support the product. The candidate must be able to work effectively in a collegial fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic goal-oriented scientist to utilize their expertise and contribute to a rapidly growing company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned.):

  • Initiate and guide new projects through development, characterization, and release
  • Communicate project status and test results to the R&D team regularly
  • Prepare product release documentation
  • Maintain excellent documentation
  • Support other departments and functions
  • Work as a team with other R&D staff members to contribute to the release of novel, high-quality reagents

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Biology. Immunology or related science. Expert knowledge in immunology, cancer biology, cell biology, or other related field. Experience with pathology is a plus.
  • Technical skills include, but are not limited to, expertise in flow cytometry (minimum four-color analysis), immunoblotting, tissue culture, and IHC/ICC techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in a leadership role in executing research projects to completion.
  • Demonstrated success in forging and nurturing collaborative research projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible to meet changing needs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot effectively and optimize technical protocols.

Product Manager


We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to define the vision for an assigned product line and manage its life cycle and marketing. This will include identifying and prioritizing customer requirements and working with R&D to develop new products. Buyer


We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer to evaluate and negotiate sourcing and purchasing for the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned.):

  • Manage spend levels for lab supplies, raw materials, and equipment. Evaluate sourcing for all items to ensure that all materials have been qualified and validated. Engage in negotiations to receive the best pricing and discounts.
  • Work with planning for optimal efficiency in ordering raw materials and OEM products, specifically working with enhancement to the Oracle system.
  • Ensure that all transactions are occurring properly in the system; provide support for Accounts Payable when there are issues. Optimize procedures to achieve efficiencies thru the oracle system.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required with 3-5 years experience in either the Biotech industry or procurement; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with ERP software recommended (preferable Oracle); computer literate, and working knowledge of Microsoft office suite

Strong analytical skills; strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; Strategic thinking and cost consciousness required; ability to work independently and manage a team

Systems Engineer


We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support core organizational functions. This person will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned.):

Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Design and deploy new systems and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.

Qualifications:

This position requires University degree in computer science or software engineering and 5 years equivalent work experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience.

Desirable: Certification in Microsoft Systems, Networks and Windows; VMWare, Cisco and Linux.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, deployment and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Working technical knowledge of current software protocols, and Internet standards.
  • Extensive experience with core software applications, including extensive application support experience, especially in the Microsoft Office area.
  • Excellent software troubleshooting experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of networking, Linux (RHEL 4) and PC (Windows XP and Win7) operating systems.
  • Exposure to Mac systems and protocols helpful.
  • Proven experience with virtualization tools, strategies and techniques, including VMWare V Sphere 4.
  • Experience with Apache and MySql administration.
  • Competence with testing, flowchart, and data mapping tools and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Knowledge/experience with global site to site network topology.
  • Exchange/Blackberry enterprise services.
  • Intrusion & detection monitoring for threats.
  • Experience with Avaya phone systems highly desirable.

Immunology Research Associate


We are seeking a highly motivated individual to support Diagnostic Quality Control-related functions to ensure quality standards are met and customer satisfaction is achieved. The candidate will be responsible for testing and validating clinical grade reagents by flow cytometry. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, highly technical and collaborative environment and have opportunities to hone their flow cytometry skills and expand their multicolor capabilities.   • Implement new flow cytometry assays required for validation and quality control of clinical grade reagents.

  • Working in a team environment to recognize and take appropriate action in response to unexpected results.
  • Troubleshooting in teams and independently as skill set develops to expedite testing and product release.
  • Responsible for ensuring an efficient workflow operation and communicating any delays.
  • Maintain a clean, stocked and efficient laboratory. Maintain instruments.

Qualifications:

B.Sc or M.Sc. in Immunology, Biochemistry or related field or ASCP Medical Technologist certification. At least 2 year of experience in flow cytometry testing methods, instrumentation and gating analysis procedures. Ideal candidate will have clinical work experience or familiarity with working with human tissue. Candidate must be willing to learn new and complicated protocols and be adaptable to changing demands. Candidate must have excellent skills in prioritization and achievement of goals and objectives; organization skills are critical. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment is a necessity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial, creative approach to troubleshooting in a team environment are required.
