Lifecycle strategies and architecture for regional e-content

Project Outline

This project (LIFE-SHARE) will address institutional and consortial strategies and infrastructure for the creation, curation and preservation of digital content.

The project will consider the current digital lifecycle model from the earlier JISC-funded LIFE project, identify the range of skills and knowledge required at each stage of the lifecycle, and create a map of skills and knowledge alongside a map of currently available training. Institutional case studies exemplifying institutional and consortial strategies will be created for a variety of digital content. Case studies will also provide additional data to inform the LIFE project.

LIFE-SHARE will identify consortial models, and create a strategy 'toolkit' - a re-useable resource, intended to inform at both a strategic and service level.
