JISC is investigating the potential for mobile technologies and what impact these might have on learning and teaching practice.

Mobile Learning

Mobile and wireless technologies can provide flexible and timely access to learning resources, instantaneous communication, portability, active learning experiences and the empowerment and engagement of learners, particularly those in dispersed communities. Yet, despite the almost ubiquitous ownership of mobile phones, the adoption of mobile technologies in post-16 teaching practice is still in its infancy.
