The existing GaleriCymru website, which houses creations by those studying art and design, will be expanded to allow for contribution and self-evaluation from a variety of extra mural groups studying art courses from Coleg Harlech

Using Web 2 technologies the Galeri offers opportunities for learners to form communities and share information about their regions and cultural identities by uploading their work onto the site. The site teaches learners to use technology and facilitates critical evaluation of their own and other’s work.

The project seeks to enhance an existing digital resource by engaging community groups which include elderly learners, ethnic minorities, cross-cultural groups, interfaith groups, groups of learners with learning and or physical disabilities and others such as young single parents and youths ‘not in employment or training’ who currently study art courses in their communities but as yet are not fully engaged with their community or any online community.
