Scuba Diving in Costa Rica
The Dive Center closest to the Catalina Island : The Catalina Island chain is a series of rocky outcrops, 2-8 miles from the coast. These islands are volcanic and sedimentary rising from a sandy bottom about 60 - 120 feet and are host to many species of marine life including the Giant Manta Rays, Stingrays, Sharks, Moray Eels, Barracudas, Sea Turtles, and a variety of schooling tropical fish which you will not find anywhere else.
The Costa Rica Dive Center is the closet one to the Catalina Islands: only 15-20 min by boat. They offer Costa Rica Scuba Diving Tours and Instruction - Catalina Island & Bat Islands SCUBA, courses, training and certification in Central America.
You'll get highly professional and personalized service, in only small groups of 1-5 divers. The experienced instructors and dive masters will accompany you to any of 35 dive sites. Visibility can vary from 20 to 80 feet on the same day and even the same dive. This is due to plankton and other marine organisms in the warm (75-85 degree), nutrient rich, tropical water. Our dives will be around volcanic rock formations at 60 to 70 foot depths. You'll get 2 tanks / 2 location boat dives daily.
