Versatile reagent for live tissue imaging
 
The versatility of eFluor® Nanocrystals extends to applications beyond antigen detection. eFluor® Nanocrystals for imaging have been successfully introduced into live animals to facilitate visualization of the vascular and lymphatic systems as well as tumors. Due to the inherent high level of photostability of eFluor® Nanocrystals, continuous observations are possible over periods of hours to days.
 
The eFluor® 700NC products are manufactured with an indium gallium phosphide core that alleviates the toxicity and safety issues associated with other nanocrystals containing a heavy metal core.

Left image: eFluor® Nanocrystals can be used to visualize solid tumor in vivo.
Mice were injected with either PBS (left mouse) or with 100 pmol of eFluor® 700NC (non-functionalized) (right mouse) into a subcutaneous tumor.
Right image: eFluor® Nanocrystals can be used to image tissue in vivo.
Mice were injected with either PBS (right mouse) or with 100 pmol of eFluor® 700NC (non-functionalized) (left mouse) into the liver at a depth of 1.5 cm.

Reactive eFluor® Nanocrystals for live cell labeling
 
eFluor® 700NC are also available as amine or carboxyl reactive nanocrystals and are suitable for labeling cells in culture. The excellent photostability of eFluor® 700NC and their cadmium free core will permit the tracking of labeled cells following transfer into a host animal.
