It’s all about Apple this week. The iPhone has just gone on sale, and to all those who were queuing at 7am in the rain this morning, I admire your dedication because there’s nothing that would make me stand in wet weather at that hour of the morning without whining. Lots.

According to the US copyright office, unlocking your smartphone is no longer illegal. The office granted the practice, known as jailbreaking, an exemption to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
As you can predict, Apple is not amused.

Good news folks. Apparently there’s no real problem with the iPhone 4’s antenna. Instead, it’s a software thing.
It took the best part of an hour and a half (some swearing, a little pleading and a lot of frustration) but I’ve updated my iPhone 3GS to iOS4.
