My research interests are primarily in critical medical studies, public health discourse, obesity panic, appearance and embodiment. I am currently working on a critical examination of the discursive construction of bariatric surgery in the context of the alleged 'obesity epidemic', and the lived experiences of post-operative bariatric patients.
