Channel 4 News has set up a Twitter list to help you keep track of events in Haiti and reaction to the disaster around the world.

The internet is proving vital in getting information out of Haiti, as electricity supplies and landlines are cut off.

On Twitter "Haiti" and "Earthquake" are among the most common words being used in messages, and the tag #HelpHaiti is a major trending topic.

Channel 4 News has set up a Twitter list to help you keep track of events as they unfold.

You will see real-time information from people on the ground in Haiti - including rescuers, charities and bloggers on location.

You can also follow this list for Foreign Office advice and information on emergency fundraising appeals.

Remember, you do not need a Twitter account to follow this feed of information.

Meanwhile, Facebook users have set up a group to share information about relatives in Haiti and to urge people to donate to the rescue effort.
