Kate Winslet as a 10-year-old Austrian captive? She's a good actress, but not THAT good.

The 38-year-old British star is being tapped to star in a biopic about kidnap victim Natascha Kampusch, reports the Guardian.

The film is set to be directed by German filmmaker Bernd Echinger, who is best known as a producer on the "Resident Evil" and "Fantastic Four" series and the 2004 Hitler biopic "Downfall."

Echinger is dead-set on casting Winslet, despite the fact she is both the wrong age and nationality to play the young victim. Kampusch was only 10 at the time of her abduction in Austria and 18 when she escaped from her abductor, Wolfgang Priklopil, in 2006.

Kampusch currently works as a talk-show host in Austria, according to the Guardian, while her abductor died soon after she escaped his clutches.

Despite the age disparity, Winslet would have no problem copying Kampusch's accent. In 2009, she won the Best Actress Oscar for playing a former German Nazi in "The Reader."
