Documentary Filming Begins
"I am determined that the film will not be simple propoganda for the P.A. Society" says the 22 yr old Media Studies Graduate. "The problem has been to find medical professionals who will state categorically that there is nothing wrong with the current methods of Diagnosing and Treating Pernicious Anaemia in particular and B12 Deficiency in General. It seems to be the case that some medical professionals are aware of some problems whilst others are genuinely unaware that there are any issues at all with the way in which Pernicious Anaemia is diagnosed and treated, but it is difficult to get them to commit their views to camera" she says.
During the next three weeks, Kim and Camera Operative Laura Fry will be travelling around the U.K. to carry out the interviews. Unfortunately limited funds mean that the crew will not be able to travel outside the U.K. to capture the stories of our members in those parts of the world, although as we know, the problems associated with the Diagnosis and Treatment of Pernicious Anaemia are a worldwide phenomena.
If you would like to tell your story to camera please contact Kim on 01656 769717. Alternatively you can email the society - details are found on the 'Contact Us' page.
