Why not just put the coffin at the corner of Jackson and Colombus? In the middle of Blues Fest. That would be a fitting tribute.

I once saw Studs Terkel interview Koko Taylor at the Chicago Historical Society (now History Museum). They are both missed.

I just seen KoKo in Waterloo,Iowa at the Electric Park Ballroom a couple of months ago-it was the second performance I had seen of hers. My daughter-in-law had never seen her so her mother and I made sure she saw her this time at the Electric Park-she agreed with us that she was definitely the Queen of the Blues!!!!!! Rest in peace KoKo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"May the queen of blues rest in peace." We love KoKo and have seen her perform several times. Her spirit will live on in the music she has left behind. May God Bless her and her family.

KoKo Taylor was one of my favorite all-time great blues singers. Last year at the Blues Festival, she turn the place out with her famous, I'm a Woman, and Christine. The Blues is the heart and soul fo Rock and Roll, Gospel and Jaz, nobody had more heart and raw soul than the Queen of the Blues, Ms KoKo Taylor.
