ORLANDO, Fla. -- A University of Central Florida graduate has been named Playboy's playmate of the month.

Shanna Marie McLaughlin, of Jupiter, who is currently working on her masters degree at UCF, will be on the cover of the magazine after being named Miss July Playmate of the Month.

The 25-year-old blond grabbed Playboy's highest honor when she won the popular Playboy TV reality series "Playboy Shootout."

"Since being named 'Playboy Shootout's' winner, I am eager to begin my modeling career with Playboy," McLaughlin said. "I've always wanted to be a part of an iconic brand and work with amazing people. I realize now, nothing is unattainable if you work hard, follow through, and make connections."

Playboy's July issue will be available June 22.
