        China’s research and application of isotope and radiation technology have had a history of more than fifty years, including the pioneering stage, R & D stage, application and industrialized development stage. In the 1990s, guided by such strategies as “reforming and opening to the outside world”, “revitalizing the nation through science and education” and the sustainable development, China’s isotope and radiation technology made great progress and remarkable achievements in terms of industrialized development. Owing to its own technical advantages and high penetrability, the isotope and radiation technology has been widely applied to many fields, such as industry, agriculture, medicine, environmental protection, petrochemical industry, power and electronics, aerospace and aviation, etc. Major industry with great vitality has been formed for isotope and radiation technology in developed countries such as USA and Japan, and the economic scale and quantity of employment of this field has surpassed that of nuclear power industry, making contributions to the GDP growth of these countries.

Shanghai will hold “2010 China (Shanghai) International Isotope and Radiation Processing Technology Equipment Exhibition & Symposium” from June 11 to June 13, 2010 in Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center, so as to further promote the isotope and radiation processing technology of our country to achieve international advanced level, improve the overall quality and international competitiveness of the industry, promote overseas enterprises, manufacturers and scientific research institutions to enter the huge isotope and radiation processing market of China, and enhance the communication and cooperation among domestic and foreign enterprises of the industry.

1. The deadline of calling for paper is April 31 on 2010. We will both inform the situation of abstract recruitment and release the participants notice on May 10.

3. Formal conference note will be send by email and post to all the participants before May 15 at the same time.
