MADRID, May 4 (Reuters) - Kim Clijsters has pulled out of
next week's Madrid Open after picking up a foot injury in
Belgium's Fed Cup playoff against Estonia last week, organisers
said on Tuesday.
The former world number one and U.S Open champion has
returned to Belgium for treatment and could be doubtful for the
French Open which starts on May 23.
Clijsters played her first clay tournament for three years
in Marbella last month after a break from the game during which
she gave birth to her daughter Jada. She was knocked out by a
qualifier in the second round.
