It is very kind of Dave to offer all this money to people, I didn't realise that he was that rich, we will probably have huge tax cuts as a result. No, wait maybe I have the wrong end of the stick... It's our money he is giving away!

Whats wrong with bringing back a compulsory National service for at least one year. It would give all enrolled something in common, no rich, poor, clever or otherwise divide. A step in the right direction at least.

What's wrong 'diamond Dave' with teaching young people values and citizenship at primary school? Or even better in the home. Why wait until sixteen or seventeen years of age when many of them are accustomed to the revolving door of juvenile detention?

Before you bring back National service may I suggest a massive prison building program!

Vountary work for every school leaver? But can you imagine how many people it will take to organise placements, train and supervise them? The cost would be enormous. And very few charities would actually want young people for just six weeks. It is just not cost effective for charities. This is just another lightweight, unthought-out gimmick to grab the headlines.
