Can't make it to a polling station on 6 May?

If you are registered to vote, but will be unable to get to a polling station on 6 May, you can appoint someone to do so in your place with a 'proxy vote'. When you apply for a proxy vote you have to provide a reason. The deadline to apply is 27 April. The deadline to apply for a postal vote has now passed.

Observing the 2010 elections

In the run up to polling day, organisations and individuals with an interest in observing election proceedings can apply for accreditation under our election observation scheme (applicants must be over 16).
