Tom takes on Tory 'progressives'
Tom Harris is on robust form after watching the video released by CCHQ to mark Conservative History Week, which I’ve included below. He reckons the Tory end of the blogosphere is far from ‘progressive’, notably on climate change, grammar schools or the minimum wage, so either Dave is at odds with the mainstream of his party, or is lying. There’s no doubt the progressive push is the latest stage in the rebranding of the party. Traditionalists on the right who sit through this video will find much in it difficult to swallow, not least the nod to Ted Heath for taking Britain into the Common Market.
