Spring Forum was something quite different this year – the atmosphere electric!

The event can be somewhat of a let down compared to Conference but this year was anything but – in fact a prominent member of Liberal Youth even described it as “buzzing” and had chosen our event over a Liberal one!

West Oxfordshire CF’s first event of 2010

There have been a few changes in the West Oxfordshire Conservative Future; with new Chairman David Lydiat elected at the December 2009 AGM. David is looking to increase membership, the number of political and social events, hold a fundraiser and of course play a key part in what we hope will be a successful general election this year.
West Oxfordshire Conservative Future (WOCF) had their first event of 2010; a dinner with guest speaker Nicola Blackwood (PPC for Oxford West and Abingdon). The dinner was a success with a good turnout. …

50% of Students will not vote

Despite this election being the most important for a generation, nearly half of all university students will not vote in May. That is the story revealed in yesterday’s survey conducted by student accommodation provider Unite, which questioned more than 1,500 students.
This is despite the fact that nearly all students currently at university have been educated largely or exclusively under a Labour Government, since those who started university last year began primary education in 1997.
The survey showed that while only 12% said they had “no interest in politics”, almost half said …

An update from CF Scotland

By Duncan Stewart, Chairman CF Scotland

It seems only yesterday since I joined the Scottish Conservative Party back when I was 16. I remember the David-David leadership rally when it came to Perth, which was also the first time I met our Leader in Scotland, Annabel Goldie. Since first getting involved all those years ago I have seen the youth wing of the Scottish Conservatives develop and increase.
Over the last 2 years especially, there has been a new vibe and feeling within the party in Scotland. Our activism across the board …
