Carson Daly describes Total Finale Live (and, really, TRL in general) as one giant party. So who was the drunkest reveler of all? "Kid Rock had a very very healthy buzz going on," Carson ventures. "And then I'd [have to] say me." (Men.Style.com)

• CBS funnyman Craig Ferguson quietly tied the knot last weekend, thereby denying paparazzi the opportunity to scream obscenities while snapping unflattering photos of the semi-famous newlyweds. (Usmagazine.com)

• Polarizing pundit Ann Coulter may have finally offended enough left-wingers/non-hatemongering media types to earn herself as lifetime ban from NBC's Today show. (Mediabistro)

Michelle Trachtenberg to reprise her role as Serena van der Wooden's overly medicated former BFF Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl.

This week's been full of ups and downs. We said hello to (the still-dreamy!!) Carson Daly, goodbye to TRL and watched our fave stars from the past 10 years brave the screaming fans in Times Square one last time to send the once-beloved show out in a blaze of live music glory.

And since the MTV veejays, the fans and the performers (like Beyonce, 50 Cent, Fall Out Boy and yes, the Backstreet Boys) put on such a brave face, we've decided to celebrate the last-ever week of TRL by posting these amazing performance clips from Total Finale Live. Check em' out, plus catch our all-time fave "Top Ten" countdowns after the jump.

Oh, and feel free to dance in your seats (and/or break out the "I LOVE YOU, CARSON!" signs) one last time. It's what TRL would've wanted.

+ After the jump, catch the Top Ten Funniest Videos, and the Top Ten Times Square Moments.

Last night's TRL finale (Total Finale Live) had it all: gratuitous celeb cameos, all the veejay eye candy we could handle and bomb performances from Beyonce/Sasha Fierce.

We laughed (at Justin Timberlake's peroxide blond Brillo hair) we cried (whenever Carson made one of the TRL veterans walk over to the window "one last time") and we reminisced (about the time Christina Aguilera wore red baby tees and didn't look like Lady Gaga's long lost twinsie).

And, most importantly, we learned something: the identity of Ludacris' much-younger star crush (Hint: Her name rhymes with Banessa Bimmons!)

It's official: Total Request Live (a.ka. TRL, a.k.a. the show that introduced us to the likes of Britney Spears, *NSYNC and blink-182 and made Times Square synonymous with Screaming Tween Girls) is O-V-E-R.

And while normally we hate teary goodbyes (we're the strong, silent type), last night was one farewell extravaganza we weren't gonna miss.

Check out these pics from Total Finale Live and relive the amazingness of seeing TRL's original veejay (and our late 90's crush) Carson Daly and Damien Fahey (our early 2000's crush) co-host the best buh-bye in TV history, featuring performances by Beyonce and Fall Out Boy and appearances by Justin Timberlake, Ludacris and Diddy.

Then head over to TRL's homepage to catch tons more behind-the-scenes footage, show highlights, live performances and a decade's worth of mushy photo booth memories. TRL 4EVA!

Total Request Live? More like Total Request Dead! As of this November, the show formerly known as TRL will only exists in our hearts, memories and online archives. And in an effort to cope, I've channeled my emotions into a heartfelt work of poetry. Presenting: An Ode to TRL (and Carson Daly)

Let's travel back in time to the year 1998
Back when Clinton was impeached, and the Yankees were great
And Tom and Nicole were still man and wife
That's the year TRL first came into my life

At first it seemed radical, even to me
An MTV show with music? How could that be??
A daily countdown of the most popular music vids
With every song, every vote, determined by kids!

Curious, I tuned in, and experienced a rush
"OMG!" thought I, "it's my first VJ crush!
Forget college apps! Forget being a Yalie!
When I grow up, I'm gonna be Mrs. Carson Daly!"

For those of you who missed it, the boys from Buzzin' dropped by TRL studio again yesterday afternoon where, sadly, there's no Corona (or limes) allowed. Anyhow, check out this snazzy shot of Shwayze and Cisco Adler (making sure to note the impressive use of suspenders and diversity of hat-wear) and DO NOT, under any circumstances, forget to tune in for the premiere of Buzzin' tonight, lest you face the wrath of the two-man zebra.

On today's TRL, three fans (pictured above, from L to R: Maria, Jenevieve, Lorena) competed in a skate-off on military island in Times Square. The best of the bunch will win an all-expense paid trip to Tony Hawk's Boom Boom Huck Jam... and we want you to be the deciding factor! Tell us: Who really ripped it?

Although Usher may have the smoothest moves on the dance floor, he's not always picture-perfect. Like on yesterday's TRL, when he accidentally confused "plugging his new album" with "talking incessantly about his wife." MTV News reports:

During a segment of Tuesday's show, Usher launched into an impromptu rant that found him dismissing reports that he and his wife were separating..."I love my wife very, very much," he said. "There was a little rumor earlier this week about us separating. It ain't true. We in love. Get outta there," he said, raising his left hand and showing off his wedding band.

Well played, Usher! You've got to take your opportunities where you can find them, even when it does make for awkward television. But next time you feel like going on a spontaneous tirade about your totally not-problematic marriage, you might want to rethink the whole wearing-sunglasses-indoors thing. Seriously. I'm all for making a fashion statement, but to me, that one screams "Help! I'm overcocky and my quickie marriage is a sham."

Video Battle

It's not rocket science. We just want a lil info from you. Which video do you like better: Ne-Yo's "Closer" or Maroon 5 ft. Rihanna's "If I Never See Your Face Again"?

Watch them both, cast your vote and leave your comments below. We’ll be checking the poll and the comments during today’s live TRL broadcast (3:30-4:30 p.m. ET) and reporting on the results.
