North: If gays can serve openly, pedophiles are next
Oliver North, the retired colonel turned Fox News contributor, told the Hannity’s America audience last night that if gays are allowed to serve openly in the military, it opens the door for allowing pedophiles to serve openly.
Host Sean Hannity questioned North on his feelings about the potential repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.North called the move to repeal the law a “stunning assault on the all-volunteer military, the very best in the world. Barack Obama now intents to treat them like lab rats in a radical social experiment, and it can be very, very detrimental.”
Moments later he added, “Now, here’s what’s next. NAMBLA (North American Man/Boy Love Association) members, same-sex marriages. Are chaplains in the U.S. military going to be required to perform those kinds of rituals? Do they get government housing?”
Why is this news? This a-hole is a criminal and a dinosaur and should be ignored. His opinion on anything should be taken with a grain of salt. He’s just another puppet of the right wing crazies.
Let them continue to roll out people that further make the case for why ending DADT is the right thing to do. The hysterics that the right wing is expousing only serves to make our case stronger. The sky is falling is no longer a valid excuse for keeping things status quo.
The fact that he even knows about NAMBLA shows that he is obsessed with attacking LGBT people and comparing us all to pedophiles. This guy is an old fossil who will quickly become irrelevant the more he spews this nonsense.
Oliver North, of the Iran-Contra Scandal Norths, a true moral compass for the nation. Fox news has an impressive roster of spokespeople for GLBT rights.
Dear Mr. North, Why are you so concerned with service members affairs? You are hardly the person to judge anyone when you do not have an ounce of integrity in your body. The comparison of the LGBT community to pedophiles is humorous to me. You have undoubtedly been in contact with gay military members and didn’t even know it! Whatever!

1.) NAMBLA is not apart of the fight for civil rights.
2.) Everyone knows that underage kids aren’t capable of understanding relationships and sex. People of NAMBLA can be cougars all they want, but they’ll need to wait till their prey is 18 years of age.

Oh and re housing, A few gay couples could really spruce up the drab military housing I have seen. How come Military housing often looks as bad as the projects?

Ollie North fell off my radar screen years ago. He is a has been. I will not waste another second on him because his very own words are a sad commentary on the man.
This is the same upstanding Ollie North who:
“… was at the center of national attention during the Iran-Contra affair, a political scandal of the late 1980s. North was a National Security Council member involved in the clandestine sale of weapons to Iran” and that has come back to bite the US in the ass.
North’s comment is to be expected of a man who deliberately defied the Constitution he swore top uphold and protect as an officer of the United States Armed Forces.
