Kristin Chenoweth’s “Twilight” Audition Turns Bloody

With a Critics’ Choice lineup that includes Adam Lambert and Sarah Silverman, we had a hunch that this year’s show would feel a bit younger and maybe a bit sexier. Now it’s official! We just got our hands exclusively on a skit that will air as part of the show. The clip contains CCMA host Kristin Chenoweth making a bloody mess of herself while auditioning to play Bella in New Moon. We’re sure these skits will provide comic relief between thoughtful acceptance speeches made by A-list actors.

To find out what other skits might be in store, check out Best Week Ever’s interview with Kristin Chenoweth. Watch the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards Friday at 9PM EST on VH1 and check back here for a live-blog of the show.

10 Movies To See In 2010

movies_2010

The New Year is upon us, and while resolutions and wishes are abound, we’re wondering what’s brewing in the world of cinema. Anticipation is already sky-high for the third film of The Twilight Saga and the first half of the final film of the Harry Potter series, but what else is waiting in the wings? We’ve got Angelina Jolie in a wig, Megan Fox in a corset, and an uber buff Jake Gyllenhaal.

Here are 10 movies worth your $12.50 + popcorn in 2010.

The Wolfman: February 12th

Benicio Del Toro has been holding out on us! Typically attracted to critic-friendly films (Traffic, Things We Lost in the Fire, Che), Del Toro gets horrific for Valentine’s Day weekend in The Wolfman, starring as the legendary moon-hatin’ monster. Critics’ Choice-nominated Emily Blunt plays his fur-lovin’ love interest and always-great Anthony Hopkins co-stars as Del Toro’s father.

Alice in Wonderland: March 5th

Tim Burton + Johnny Depp. Do we really need to say more? Previous collaborations of the eccentric duo include Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This fantastical gothic version of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale is sure to be visually stunning and over-the-top. Naturally Johnny Depp is The Mad Hatter, while Australian actress Mia Wasikowska snagged the role as Alice. Burton’s wife Helena Bonham Carter plays the part of The Red Queen with Anne Hathaway as The White Queen. Other highlights include Alan Rickman as The Caterpillar and Michael Sheen as The White Rabbit. Can you feel our excitement?

Kristin Chenoweth Loves RPattz, Slaps Lautner

Kristin Chenoweth, who’s hosting the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards this year, kicks some werewolf butt in this new Twilight-inspired promo for the show. It’s not hard to guess where she falls in the Team Edwards/Team Jacob debate. Not only is the Lautner look-alike in the video the wimpiest werewolf that ever snarled, Kristin slaps him because Robert Pattinson isn’t more central to “New Moon.” Ouch.

Catch more of the itty-bitty actress with the unforgettable voice at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards live on VH1 on Jan. 15 at 8PM EST and use the Critics’ Choice Tweet Tracker to keep up with what’s hot this awards season.

Taylor Lautner Explains The 3 Types Of Twilight Fangirls

Taylor Lautner sat down with Conan O’Brien on The Tonight Show last night, glowing with the knowledge that New Moon made almost three times its budget in one weekend. After describing a fan riot in Brazil (”there were flexi-cuffs on the doors…[they] just went Pop! Pop! Pop!”), the underage werewolf broke down the three types of fangirls he encounters while gallivanting across the globe to hawk his vampire movie/money-printing machine. They are as follows:

  • Screamers: “The most mild fan…usually we do not meet fans who do not scream.”
  • Criers: “You feel really bad…you want to do something, so you grab their hand or give them a hug, and it just gets worse. Then they are literally on their knees crying.”
  • Hyperventilators: “You don’t really have to worry that much, because they just pass out. They just *snaps* are gone.”

Wait, what about adult women uncomfortable with Bella’s extreme passivity but can’t stop watching anyway? And those moms who want Taylor to sign their underwear? Maybe they all scream too. As funny as Lautner’s anecdotes were, the highlight of the interview was when Conan revealed the junior athlete can catch grapes in his mouth from a long distance. Watch the feat—along with yet another shirtless clip from New Moon—after the jump.

Robsten Fever Hits New York City

Visit msnbc.com for Breaking News, World News, and News about the Economy

Co-stars and rumored-couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been hopping all over Manhattan the last couple days wrapping up their press tour for New Moon. The pair has consistently tip-toed around the question on the tip of every interviewer’s tongue; whether their steamy onscreen relationship has seeped into their personal lives. Despite leaving Twi-hards with nothing but paparazzi shots of hand-holding and OK! magazine covers to debate, their interviews have proven them to be very likable and amazingly unaffected by their phenomenal fame.

On the “Today Show” this morning, RPattz confirmed every tabloid rumor ever, telling Matt Lauer that in the last year, he’s been engaged, dated constantly, overdosed on drugs, and dated someone named “Listten Hewert.” Before and after the interview, he graciously signed autographs and took photos with the crazed fans that had occupied Rockefeller Center for over 24 hours. See clip above.

After the jump, see Kristen Stewart spill the beans to Jimmy Fallon about Martha Stewart’s crush on Pattinson and toss a football around. We’ve also rounded up Rob’s appearance on Letterman last night, as well as Kristen on the “Today Show” yesterday.

Kristen Stewart Debuts Southern Accent In Yellow Handkerchief

In the midst of New Moon madness, a trailer has debuted of a more critic-friendly, less-squeal-inducing venture for Kristen Stewart. In Yellow Handkerchief, Stewart takes an unplanned road trip through rural Louisiana with two strangers, William Hurt as an ex-convict and Eddie Redmayne as the awkward driver. The lonely threesome learns to trust each other and share their personal stories. The film has been received well at independent film festivals, and will surely appeal to those who avoid the Twilight phenomenon. We’re getting a feeling that Adventureland is the closest KStew will ever come to a romantic comedy…and that’s pretty refreshing.

Yellow Handkerchief hits select theaters in February 2010.

Firelight: Frankensteins Are The New Vampires

In what was undoubtedly the best sketch of last night’s SNL, host and musical guest Taylor Swift played the role of Bella in a Twilight parody, “Firelight.” In a knock-off lunch room scene, Swift passes on a hunky Edward-esque Andy Samberg for a sexy green-skinned loner played by Bill Hader. Instead of resisting the temptation of Bella’s blood, “Phillip Frankenstein” struggles with the urge to strangle her. See the trailer above.

We’ve gotta give the country sweetheart credit for her mastery of the Kristen Stewart lip nibble.

Bonus after the jump: see T-Swift blow a kiss to rumored-boyfriend Taylor Lautner during her musical monologue.

Twi-Links: America Has New Moon Fever

Red Carpet Rundown: Julie Benz Crushes On RPattz, Dave Navarro Sleeps In Coffins

TheFABlife and VH1 News hit up The Scream Awards to chat with celebs about America’s obsession with vampires, their picks for sexiest bloodsucker, and their plans for Halloween, Hollywood style. Of course a trip to the red carpet wouldn’t be complete without a chat with guitarist Dave Navarro, who revealed he owns 4 - yes, 4 - coffins that he sleeps in at home. Viva Hollywood weirdness!

Ashley Greene On Her Fave New Moon Scene

Now that shooting for Eclipse has ended [sheds tear] the Twilight kids are busy promoting New Moon, which premieres in less than a month, not that we’re counting the days or anything. In this clip, Ashley Greene talks to our pals at MTV about her favorite scene in New Moon. Other interesting Twi-dirt that the starlet reveals: during down time she her co-stars watched our favorite YouTube video “Kittens Inspired By Kittens,” and she and Kristen Stewart are besties after bonding as some of the only girls on-set.

“During New Moon, especially in Italy, me and Kristen were, like, the only girls. So there was a lot of girly giggling going on,” says Ash. We have a hard time imagining Kristen Stewart doing anything girly that requires a smile, but we’ll take Ashley’s word for it!

Check out our giant gallery of Ashley Greene photos below!

Kristen Stewart, Lip-Biting Beauty

Our pal Dan over at College Humor noticed something funny about Kristen Stewart: the girl gets off on biting her lip - a lot. In just about every movie she’s in, she’s constantly chomping down on her pretty pink mouth. We’ve seen her do it in interviews too, so it must just be some strange habit K-Stew can’t kick. Perhaps she’s just practicing her vamp moves for Breaking Dawn?
