Meteorological Courses offered by the South African Weather Service

Weather excellence starts with meteorological training of high standards to:

• Observe the weather;
• Provide Weather Forecasts;
• Collect Climatological Information;
• Exchange Information worldwide;
• Do Research

Meteorological Training is provided in cooperation with other universities. A limited   number of bursaries are advertised in the national newspapers towards April of each year for the BSc Bridging course and in October for the Weather Observer course. Private and International students are also welcome to apply.

• BSc bridging course (Meteorology) for pure BSc graduates wanting to qualify in Meteorology
