And you are welcome! This website is designed to help you find out about my work in Parliament and the constituency. It gives you information about how to keep in touch with me and when my next surgeries are. Hopefully the website is in simple, easy to understand sections and I hope it is easy for you to browse through them.
You elected me and sent me to the House of Commons to speak and vote for the people of Penrith of and The Border so, on the web site you can see some of the things I have been saying and doing and my opinions on some things. You might not agree with some of my views and that is OK. That is what representative democracy is all about. Some politicians these days try to have bland views on everything so that they please everybody. However I have always taken the view that there is no point in being an MP if you don’t have opinions and you say nothing. I cant fight the corner of Penrith and The Border if I have no opinions and don’t know what to say.
However it is my duty and pleasure to serve all of my constituents in Penrith and the Border irrespective of your political views; so if you need my help on any matter, whether local or national please get in touch with me at the House of Commons or use this website to get in touch with my office.
