Friday eve, kids. It's time to pile into Doc Brown's Delorean and do a little time traveling. Back to purposely shoddy dye jobs, second-hand clothes, and the first wave of major label alt rock.

When Radiohead released their second album, The Bends, in 1995, they were, on these shores, living out the twilight of their one-hit-wonder ("Creep") status.

Propelled by the heartbreaking falsetto and epiphany-inducing crescendo of "Fake Plastic Trees," The Bends became one of those every-few-years albums whose commercial success matches the critical plaudits thrown its way. They went on to become... well they went on to become Radiohead!

This performance of "Fake Plastic Trees" is taken from MTV's 120 Minutes back in 1996. Five more albums, countless life-changing shows and groundbreaking videos and industry shaking career moves later, it still screws with your head to watch these shy, awkward Oxford kids make their way through the song that would change their lives.

When we last left Florida emo-rockers We The Kings on their comedic travelogue, The King's Carriage, Travis Clark and Hunter Thomsen were discussing their secret guitar language and how they use it to mock drummer Dan Duncan (without his knowledge).

In this new episode we turn our eyes to the wide world of sports. Or at least kickball. It all starts with Travis checking WTK's email account, only to find that the rest of the band has been invited to play some kickball without him. BURN! Even though he admits kickball isn't his "forte," this exclusion still rankles and he decides to crash the game.

Will Travis' bandmates see the light and pick him for their respective teams? Will we get to see his true quality as a kickballer? You'll have to watch King's Carriage to see.

With American Idol's 9th season debuting on January 12th, what better time than now to sit down with last season's fourth-place finisher, Allison Iraheta, and throw some MTV Buzzworthy Blog fan-submitted questions her way?

In this fan interview, Allison, who released Just Like You just last month, answered all sorts of queries.

Allison talks about which song on Just Like... she connects with most on a personal level ("No One Else") and how she feels about the album as a final product. She also gets tested on the topic of crazy fan encounters, touring plans, body image issues (she used to be insecure but then she realized how awesome she is...which she is), and her beloved leopard-print Snuggie.

Check out the entire Allison Iraheta Buzzworthy Blog fan interview, and re-fall-in-love with Allison's video for "Friday I'll Be Over You," below.

In the interest of full premeditated disclosure, it's only right to tell you that we're "Stan"-ing pretty hard for Vampire Weekend these days.

Their new album, Contra, is, incredulously, even better than their formidable, self-titled 2008 debut; it's full of beguiling, charming, lovely jams that pull equally from African pop, Peter Gabriel, Pavement, and snotty punk.

So we're pretty jacked/amped/psyched for their brand-new "MTV Unplugged" performance, which consists of six songs and a selection of interviews.

Watch "A-Punk" and "Cousins" live, and watch the rest of Vampire Weekend's "MTV Unplugged" performance -- including "Oxford Comma," "White Sky," "M79" and "Run."

And watch four exclusive Vampire Weekend interviews from their MTV Unplugged set -- In these two clips, Vampire Weekend talks about making Contra and being not that into Twitter.  (Though you can follow Ezra at his @arZE handle).

Whoa, I smell a Three Amigos remake in the making. Brothers and sisters, I present to you the latest piece of wonderfully pompous Cash Money extravagance (rock-pop sub-division): Kevin Rudolf's "I Made It," featuring Cash Money majordomo Birdman, Lil' Wayne and Brit R&B sensation (and CM signee) Jay Sean.

This thing is basically a DJ Khaled song/video (think "Out Here Grindin'") rendered in a rock format. Bombastic synths, even more bombastic attitude.

And the thing is...it works! The "Let It Rock" singer really fits well with Birdman and Jay Sean (Lil' Wayne bats cleanup towards the end). These guys are all basically like, "LOL, I'm rich!" with a little bit of overcoming adversity thrown in to make you tear up.

Kevin Rudolf's untitled second full-length is due out this year. Check out the song (as well as some bonus DJ Khaled insanity because...well why not!?) below.

Attention Yankees third baseman (and occasional Kate Hudson and Madonna paramour) Alex Rodriguez, we have a minotaur sighting (and we know how much you love minotaurs).

The mythical beast (or a guy dressed up like one) is the star of the new video for the song "Let There Be Horns," from post-hip-hop (whoo! new genre alert) producer/artist RJD2.

As videos starring minotaurs go (or really, any man-dressed-as-beast-video), this one is pretty moody. Over the deep funk percussion and strings of RJ's track, we see a rather depressed minotaur go about a rather human day of pill-popping, coffee-guzzling and disappointment.

"Let There Be Horns" is taken from RJD2's fourth full-length, The Colossus, due out later this month.

I feel almost embarrassed to be presenting in Robin Thicke in such drab settings. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with our "The 5" set; nothing at all. It's just not very sexy.

For a dude like Thicke, a dude who released an album called Sex Therapy, a dude who channels some of the great bedroom-centric crooners in the history of pop, you'd think we could have conjured up some nice black velvet curtains, some candlelight...maybe some Nag Champa smoke billowing in the background.

Unfortunately all you get is the concentrated sexiness of Thicke and his words of revealing wisdom. In this episode of "The 5," the pop-soul singer talks about working with Jay-Z on the Sex Therapy track "Meiple," what women need at the end of the day (I'll give you a hint: two words, rhymes with "dexterity"), working with The Game on the song "Diamonds," and much more.

Check out this episode of "The 5" below. Sex Therapy is currently in stores now.

How will Ke$ha top "Tik Tok," the breakout smash single which helped her album, Animal, achieve one of the biggest first-week of sales in iTunes history?

Ke$ha could go soft and sensitive, revealing another side of her party girl persona. Or she could continue down the path of brushing her teeth with single-malt whiskey.

Looks like Ke$ha chose the latter. "Your Love Is My Drug," one of our favorite tracks off of Animal, pretty much picks up where "Tik Tok" left off.

"Your Love Is My Drug" is a pounding electro track with a sweet chorus that feels a little bit like Katy Perry's "Waking Up In Vegas." And despite the song being about an obsessive attraction, Ke$ha still manages to make mention of hard-partying and rehab.

Elsewhere on the Internet, the news/opinion site The Awl is weighing in on the importance of Ke$ha and the possibility of her becoming the new Britney Spears; charting her-out-of-nowhere-success with that of "pre-Federline" Brit.

According to writer David Cho, a combination of Ke$ha's inherent talent, her high pedigree of production (Dr. Luke) and, especially, her trashy aesthetic dovetailing with our current popular culture's obsession with shamelessness, could all lead to mega-stardom for L.A. pop brat. Interesting stuff.

What do you think? Could Ke$ha be the new Britney?

Okay, I will admit that I'm possibly the last remaining person on (this) earth who hasn't seen Avatar. But I do know makeup tutorials, and I HAVE seen a lot of awesome YouTube videos. And this might be the best one ever. So you MUST watch this Avatar makeup tutorial by Gloria, a Tumblr obsessive, Gaga and Twilight fan and YouTube star -- her YouTube videos caught the eye of George Lopez who had her on Lopez Tonight where she gave Sandra Bullock a makeover and had no problem matching wits with George Lopez himself.

Gloria goes by the name Glowpinkstah on YouTube whose love for Avatar compelled her to create a blue-faced makeup tutorial so you too can look like a resident of Pandora. (Again, haven't seen Avatar yet, so please forgive me if my Na'Vi is a little rusty.)

The video is a LITTLE NSFW, so consider yourself warned (or, consider yourself someone who doesn't have a sense of humor or grasp of parody!) And consider yourself SCHOOLED in Gloria's hilarious, balls-to-the-wall ways. And seriously, SOMEONE give Gloria her own show!

First things first: Brendan, bass player for Texas band Disco Curtis, and guitarist Garrett are champions. I see you dudes with your vinyl-polyblend jackets and the sleeves pushed up, and dudes? I applaud you for it.

The look fits; Disco Curtis are practically three-notes and a couple of emo-drenched vocal ticks away from sounding like Rick Springfield or The Outfield ("Your Love" FTW).

Disco Curtis' fun new video for "Ashley" (taken from their album, Play With Fire Get Burned), directed by Saint Productions, is not dissimilar to Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me." It chronicles the timeless, if high-school-centric, themes of nerdery (singer, Tanner) vs. popularity (nameless "Jock") in the battle for a gal's ("Ashley") heart.

Play With Fire... is out now, and Disco Curtis are on a rather relentless touring schedule, so you're bound to catch them soon.
