Senior Planner


We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Planner to plan all aspects of production including but not limited to material needs, standard products, and custom products. Ensure transactions are processed correctly to reflect the material and resource needs of production. Utilize Oracle tools to enhance planning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):

  • Implement Forecast and Plans within Oracle; run MRP to indicate when productions should be started. Review forecast and pegging to ensure optimal efficiency
  • Review inventory and compare to forecasted demand and obsolescence. Prioritize productions and purchases to optimize efficiencies. Maintain inventory levels to prevent backorders and avoid excess and obsolescence.
  • Identify planning hurdles and difficulties for new product lines and production stages. Establish and utilized alternative planning mechanisms to optimize planning efficiency in niche product lines and unique production stages.
  • Oversee the accuracy of Bill of Materials and Resource allocation within Oracle.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet the needs of the company and department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required with 3-5 years experience in either the Biotech industry or in a planning environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with ERP software recommended (preferably Oracle); computer literate, working ability with Microsoft office suite
  • Strong analytical skills; well organized; self motivated; strong communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Conjugation Associate I


We are seeking a highly motivated Conjugation Associate I responsible for the production of fluorescently labeled bioconjugates, including chemical modification and conjugation to antibodies and recombinant proteins, and purification of bioconjugates. This individual will function as an integral member of the Manufacturing team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):

As an associate of the function, this individual will assure that work is performed in accordance with production schedules, perform hands-on manufacturing tasks and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, conduct multiple production runs at one time, and be well organized. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Learn and comply with policies and procedures set forth by departmental Standard of Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Prepare and initiate all procedures and documents under supervision
  • Carry out and optimize appropriate methods for the conjugation, purification and characterization of bioconjugates under supervision
  • Follow all departmental guidelines and procedures
  • Input data and observations into database accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain lab supply inventory and re-order as needed

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma; Bachelor of Science degree in Biology or related field; 0-3 years experience in a lab environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Software Developer (ERP)


This position is an addition to our expanding IT department. The primary responsibility is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Strategy & Planning

  • Assist in the planning, design, development, of new applications and enhancements to existing ERP applications.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

Acquisition & Deployment

This is a newly created position for a highly motivated and enthusiastic OEM Licensing Manager who will generate Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or product supply opportunities for the company through research and cold calling, relationship building, and negotiations. Quality Control Associate


We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Associate accountable for in-process testing of bulk materials, and finished products. Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of laboratory tasks within a team environment. Specifically, running, and trouble-shooting Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Bioassay, and western Blot assays to assist in the quality testing of innovative antibody-based assays. In addition, this individual will adhere to all requirements of established quality systems.

  • Conduct in-process and final product testing following Standard Operating Procedures
  • Responsible for assuring that products are tested to meet the highest quality standards as determined by performance specifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that QC tasks are completed according to: schedule, company policies, procedures and test methods.
  • Effectively implement and maintain the company's standard operating procedures for Quality Control.
  • Understands test results and pursues clarification of unusual results. Develops and uses system for anticipating and recognizing errors. Resolves discrepancies and reports results.
  • Adheres to good documentation practices to ensure data integrity and traceability.

Qualifications:

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a closely related field with relevant experience with 0-2 years of work experience in a Research or GMP Quality Control laboratory. Current experience performing a variety of antibody based assays for bulk materials, in-process materials and finished products is highly preferred. Experience writing and modifying Standard Operating Procedures is preferred. Fundamental knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as current GMP regulations and the ability to review and understand test data is highly desirable. Understanding and the ability to follow safety precautions and procedures which apply to the activities in the laboratory is required. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment is a necessity. Must be able to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and also have the ability to work independently. Candidate must have strong math skills; strong scientific background; excellent skills in prioritization and achievement of goals and objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently following verbal instructions and SOPs are required. Inside Sales Representative


We are seeing a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Inside Sales Representative. This strategic cross-functional position expands the company’s market presence by selling and promoting a rapidly growing portfolio of leading edge products to researchers in the life sciences community.  The role serves a critical function by increasing the quantity and content of our customer database (CRM) and by following up, qualifying, and developing sales leads.   The successful candidate will be capable of achieving the essential functions described below in an assigned territory.

  • Following up on leads from major trade shows, marketing campaigns, and the like.  Qualify, develop, and sell to leads or pass developed leads to field sales (if at key account).
  • Working closely and developing a comprehensive, mutually beneficial strategy with field sales representative partners and with marketing.
  • Presenting effective solutions to customers based on discussions centered on their research interests and needs.
  • Gathering and communicating market intelligence on research trends, competitor activities/promotions, and research funding environment.
  • Maintaining excellent communications with customers and marketing team members to ensure optimal company-client relationship.
  • Entering orders into ERP system when customer expresses interest to buy as well as scheduling and tracking these orders.
  • Maintaining any quotations or contracts established within territory.
  • Properly referring troubleshooting issues to company Technical Support team to assist researchers in resolving their problems.
  • Liaising with inventory department to ensure customer backorder items are diligently handled.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and skills in an appropriate science, Bachelor's degree in the life sciences.  Previous selling and/or customer service experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of immunology and flow cytometry preferred.
  • Excellent and cordial oral and written communication skills.  Must speak clearly and write proficiently in English.

Research Associate – Recombinant Protein


We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic research associate to join the Recombinant Protein Department.  The successful candidate will purify, characterize, and analyze recombinant proteins from various recombinant sources. The associate will support the development and production of bioactive molecules and protein based reagents for cell analysis and immunoassays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):


Principal Accountabilities

  • Conduct the “de-novo” purification and characterization of proteins from mammalian, bacterial and insect cells.
  • Plan and execute research and development for recombinant protein production.
  • Participate in team efforts to optimize manufacturing processes, produce recombinant proteins and Interface with internal and external customers to support their needs.
  • Interest in learning and developing new technologies for protein expression, purification and characterization.

Job Dimensions

  • The successful candidate will be proficient in FPLC (Ion-exchange, Metal Chelating, Size-exclusion and Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography), HPLC (reversed phase Chromatography), ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting and UV/VIS spectroscopy.  
  • The successful candidate will develop, optimize and carry out the purification and characterization of recombinant proteins. 
  • The successful candidate will document results, organize data into reports and prepare manufacturing protocols and SOPs.
  • Significant skills in mainstream computer software are necessary. 
  • Good communication (written and oral) skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment are essential. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related Biological Science area.
  • 3 to 5 years of research and development experience in protein expression, purification and characterization is desirable.
  • Industrial experience in purifying protein is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint.
