Accident on National Highway claims 4 |

KARACHI: At least four persons died as an oil tanker run over a car carrying four people on National Highway here in Karachi limits on Tuesday night, Geo news reported.
According to police sources, an oil tanker filled with diesel fell onto a car near Shahbaz petrol pump on National Highway in the limits of Gulshan-e-Hadeed locality, and as a result, three among four passengers died on the spot while another succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.
The deceased persons were later identified as Jahanzaib, Umair Afzal, Sardar Ahmed and Sumair Afzal, hospital sources confirmed.
Police sources said the accident took place due to illegal turn taken by tanker’s driver who succeeded to flee the scene while the dead persons were residents of Pakistan Steel Town.
Their dead bodies were deposited at JPMC, hospital sources maintained. |
