New agenda

In the age of globalisation, an EU of 27 states must recognise the limits of its powers. “Ever closer union” is not the answer. Instead, a flexible, outward-looking EU should focus on new priorities such as:

  • Deregulation & economic competitiveness
  • Tackling global poverty & CAP reform
  • Climate change, energy & the environment
   EU: heading in the wrong direction
