  7. Springdale vs Fayetteville Football Game Cancelled

    Tonight's high school football game between Springdale High and Fayetteville High has been cancelled. The game was cancelled after the Springdale Football team was involved in a school bus accident. The bus crashed late this afternoon on Zion road in Fayetteville. Players tell 5News the bus driver lost control after the bus hit a dip in the road. One player was taken to the hospital. Everyone else on the bus, which was carrying players and coaches, were not badly injured. The Springdale High School football team was on their way to play Fayetteville High School tonight. It was Fayetteville's homecoming game. Now we're told the game is cancelled, because students and coaches are too shaken up. The game could be rescheduled for Saturday afternoon, but no firm date or time has been set yet. Keep it with 5News tonight at 10 p.m. for the latest updates.

  11. 4 Sandy Residents Hospitalized for Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

    Two people are now being treated in a hyperbaric chamber for carbon monoxide at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray. At around 6:00 a.m. the Sandy City Fire Department confirmed that the four people were found in their home in Sandy suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning. The department that the family turned on the furnace last night and there was a natural gas leak. All four individuals were immediately transported to the hospital. The department found a 220 parts per million reading inside the home. Normal air would consist of 3 parts per million.
