Wreath Ramble at Hill-Stead Museum
The annual Wreath Ramble took place Sunday at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington. The public was invited to search the trails on the 152 acre property for pampas grass, bittersweet, milkweed pods, ferns, berries, boughs and twigs and then put together the finished product on site. The Hill-Stead museum was established in 1947 by the will of Theodate Pope Riddle. According to its website, Hill-Stead is one of the nation's few remaining representations of early 20th century Country Place Estates. Visitors can see Alfred Atmore Pope's collection of French Impressionist paintings, enjoy poetry readings and many other activities
