MANCHESTER -
A woman who was hit by a car on Buckland Street Tuesday was listed in critical condition this evening at Hartford Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The woman, who police identified as Carla Sudsbury, 57, of Vernon, was in the road when she was struck at about 6:20 p.m., police said. The car — which had the green light — stopped after the accident, they said.
Sudsbury is a children's specialist at Borders bookstore, up the block from the scene. It wasn't clear Wednesday if she was working at the time of the accident.
