If you must read only a few things today, please select from the following:

"Excuse me, there's some food in my bugs!", an exploration of human eating insects instead of the other way 'round. Also check out this related PODCAST.

You've heard the news, now find out what the scientists haven't told you because it is kinda hard to 'splain: What Happened to Our Beloved Archaeopteryx?

Why do mainstream newspapers still publish anti-evolution crank mail? Because you have not told them to refrain. Click the link and join the movement.

Blogroll A

Posted on: November 2, 2009 1:05 PM, by Greg Laden

I have refurbished my blogroll, in some cases using automatic scripts, so it is possible that individual listings have been deleted. (If so, this may be because that site has no recent posts.) Please have a look at the listings, visit them, add any suggestions or corrections to the comments. Thank you very much.

Is there a blogroll "D"?

There is a B, a C, a D, all the way through to Z.

I see a random? selection in the sidebar, but where can I see the whole list? (and I have a terrible feeling the answer is going to make me feel stupid)

Tomato Addict, don't feel stupid. There's nowhere for the public to see the whole thing. If I recall correctly, it lives on a server somewhere.

Thanks. That would explain why my blog occasionally gets hits from here, but I never see the link. (and Greg, thanks for the link too!)

Right, let me explain: It's a javascript thingie that randomly chooses some number (I keep changing the number) of links... there are between 300 and 400 links ... and displays them whenever the page is rendered.

At present I'm going through alphabetically and doing both automatic and hand processing.

If someone does not see their blog on here and your blog starts with "a" (or a number), put a link to it in the comments and I'll add it. Over the next several days I'll display the rest of the blogroll.

It is possible that if your blog stats with "a" you are not on the list because your blog really starts with something else (like "the aardvark blog" might be under "the" or "a blog around the clock" could be under "blog") But add your blog anyway, the blogroll generating system removes some duplicates and who cares if there are a few duplicates.
