BERLIN - A worker at a convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Sunday morning while making a deposit at the Bank of America branch at 525 New Britain Road, police said.

Police said a man approached the female employee of the Citgo/Foodbag store just after 10 a.m. and, displaying a pistol, threatened to kill her if she did not give him the money in the deposit bag, police said.

The suspect then forced the woman to drive him to Langdon Court, near the bank branch office.

He left her car and got into a black Nissan with tinted windows and a rear spoiler, police said.

Police said the suspect wore blue jeans and a gray hooded sweat shirt and did not reveal his face. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Det. Sgt. McCormack at 860-828-7080.
