A: Cory Joseph and Brandon Knight are likely to wait until the spring period to sign, so their decisions could be put off for a while. Roscoe Smith has cut his list to UConn, Georgetown and Duke, so his decision could come sooner. There could be a domino effect, sure. Top remaining players are also very curious about who goes where. They want to know who they might play with, who slipped into a spot ahead of them, how they'll fit onto a roster, etc. The more recruits who commit, the fewer the options for those who remain, the fewer choices for recruits to consider.
It amazes me that so many UCONN fans hit the panic button and feel that all is lost if some of the top recruits don't choose UCONN. It would be enlightening to go back several years and look at all the so called "top recruits" who fizzled and how many actually turned out to be what they were projected to be! Some of the really good UCONN players were never on the "Blue Star Hoops list" or whatever they're called. I think too much emphasis is placed on these so-called hoops rating experts.
