DURHAM -
State police are investigating a death at the New Haven Raccoon Hunters Club on Route 17 Wednesday evening.
A 51-year-old male was found at the base of a tree stand.
Fox 61 is reporting the man is Kenneth Stevens of East Haven.
A call came in to state police about 7:42 p.m. about a possible cardiac arrest somewhere in the woods, but was later upgraded to a fatality, state police said.
The medical examiner was notified.
Members of the club told state police they became concerned when the man, who had been out hunting, did not return after dark.
