Michael Bradley to UConn

Michael Bradley, a 6-10 big man from Tyner Academy in Chattanooga, Tenn., has made an oral committment to attend UConn, according to his coach, Gerald Harris.

Bradley made an official visit to UConn Sept 25-27. He had also visited Georgia, Drake and Virginia Commonwealth.

He is rated the 15th best center in the class of 2010 by scout.com. Rivals.com gives him three stars out of five. He would like to become a pharmacist -- or, of course, a shot at the NBA.

Last week, Tyner coach Gerald Harris said, "Two months ago, no one knew about Mike Bradley. He just had a great summer and took advantage of the time he played on his AAU team and camps. You look at his upside and see what he could bring to the table, along with bringing in a good kid with good grades. He wants to be a pharmacist. He's going to be the tallest pharmacist in the country one day, probably."

"There's a lot of stuff I like [about UConn]," Bradley told zagsblog.com. "Mostly because you get to compete and develop at a high level. The other thing I like is Coach Calhoun develops big men. We go against pros, great players every day."
