Scotland’s Health Service has seen unprecedented investment over the last decade. More is now spent per head on healthcare here than either the UK or EU average. Despite this, serious problems remain with issues such as waiting times and hospital acquired infections.

Why is this? Should Scots expect a better return on their investment in the NHS? What can be done to improve matters? Andrew Walker, Scotland’s leading independent health economist, Dr Anna Gregor, former lead clinician for all of Scotland’s cancer services and Gillian Bowditch, Scotland’s Newspaper Columnist of the Year will help us find the answers to these vital questions in an open debate.
